Oh, them? Thats just the singer and drummer from Bloc Party. Second best thing that has happened to me this summer. Of course, this is horrible picture of me since i was out dancing at their concert into the wee hours of the morning before dragging my sorry self into work only to be surprised with getting to meet them!

Day 1 airplanes and airports, the trip began. we boarded the plane and solved some seating and kim sat across from me on the aisle, and sam s sat behind us on the aisle and i sat next to lynn. the most charming chinese-englishman sat next to us and loved to say "cheers" which apparently can just about fit anywhere. he drank many bottles of wine and we giggled. then, because it was a night flight we recieved dinner, and watched a movie (i watched Undertow and part of My Best Friends Wedding) and went to sleep for about and hour or 2. when i woke up we were flying over ireland and very close to London,Heathrow where we landed at 8 am or so, exhausted but VERY excited.
Day 2 We arrived in the typical london fog and met our absolutely adorable tour-guide Bruno who talked with a lisp and who we couldnt figure out his orientation until the last day. we all pile onto a bus and drive through the suburbs or london and i kind of pass out. we arrive at the hotel st giles in the electroniques section of london where they sell everything you can plug in. we arrange our rooms, and im with kim and yacine. sam and lynn are upstairs with jen kim. then we went out. we walked a few short blocks to piccadilly circus where they set us free to get some lunch. we head to an atm, and some people dont want to eat in a pub and some do (i did becasue it was the one time i wanted to sit and eat and spend a little money while i still had it and its very english to be in a pub). finally, those that do go to the bear and cross or something like that and sit upstairs. i had delicious english breakfast platter and we all shared as usual. we finish and meet up with the group. theo was getting her picture drawn so we all had to stand around and wait for her for 45 minutes. waiting was a theme on this trip. finally we begin to walk, and walk and walk. we see the guards on horse back who cant move or speak (the queens life guards). we spend time in trafalgar square, and walk past big ben, and over the the thames. when we arrive and the eye of london ferris wheel, madame, mike, sam s and i decide we would rather see a dali exhibit. my favorite peice was the cup not for use, i also liked the don quixote peices. so we walked some more, back over the thames, through london until we arrive at covent garden. they give us all of 20 minutes to go shoping, not that we could afford anything. (if you didnt know, the exchange rate is 2$ to 1£). when we go back they lead us into dinner and an italian restaurant. most of the kids pass out on their tables. they gave us two choices and i had pasta.i wanted to light mike on fire, but had to settle for waxing his arms with candles. then we headed back to the hotel. we knocked around the hotel and hung out, then went to our room to find yacine sprawled out on the bed. so kim slept on the single pull out, and i slept on the floor. (it was cold and crappy).
Day 3 i wake up, cold and cramped and roll over into the wall. when i say tiny, you cant imagine how small the rooms were for 3 girls. we stumble down to breakfast and its awful. english food is terrible, but then we had good friday services. some people just didnt show up and i got annoyed casue im not religious i still had to go. we get on a bus with a lovely english tour guide named chris who gives us a full overview of the city. the bus went too fast but we saw all the major sites, crossed the london bridge, the tower bridge, saw big ben again, westminster abbey.halfway through the ride we stopped for coffee and a bathroom break and we bought tiny packs of british cigarettes which were horrifically strong. then we stopped and walked through a park toward where the men march to the changing of the guard and walked along with them. we came to a plaza, and climbed on top of a monument to watch. then we all met up again but some people were lost so we had to wait, what seemed like forever and saw the other guards leaving. afterwards we got back on the bus and got off outside the tower of london. we were set loose for lunch, again someone wasnt pleased with what we chose, but it all worked out alright and we did some souvenir looking. then we were set free into the tower of london, which is actually a castle. we took a tour with a member of the royal guard, they are retired military men of rank with 22 years of good service and a number of medals who are allowed live within the tower walls. our guide was wonderful. we saw all the important sites, and he made us laugh through the whole thing. there were a hundred useless facts i picked up, such as anne boleyn was beheaded by suprise because the king did not want to distress her out of kindness. we then waited on a HUGE line and saw the crown jewels. i definetly know what i want for my next birthday *wink*. then toured one of the medieval residences and had to run to make the group meeting on time. after exiting the tower we made our way as a school group over to a bus stop to try to take a double decker bus to dinner. it took 20 minutes to find one that would let us on. there we are, all 49 of us on top of a double decker, and it was quite a sight. we arrive back in piccadilly circus and ate at a restaurant called "bella italia", which is a chain that had a store on practically every corner. i ate vegetarian pasta with cheese sauce which was DEEELISH. it was loverly. after dinner they gave us free time for a while in piccadilly circus. i bought my england football jersey (soccer if you will). then sam, megan and i lost kim and lynn when they took off for a loo. so we wandered and shopped, but unfortunately most stores were closed or in the process of closing. so ran into a pub and got a shot for the novelty of it. awhile later we met up with the group at the tickets booth. sam told us about her wanting to be a physicist. and saw bruno with a man we thought he was flirting with, leading us to believe him gay. after meeting back up, we went to the hotel, and again hung around in the hallway for a bit before bedcheck. thank god kim and i got the bed. after bedcheck we were watching "you want to be a supermodel?" which is basically their version of ANTM, and realized the beautiful leggy women we sat near on the plane, were the models from the show! then, there was a "50 ways to look your best naked" which was a full frontal nudity show on PUBLIC TV. channel 5 london is wonderful. i think i fell asleep at around 43 though so i missed most of it.
Day 4 we woke up and i finally took a shower (i had a haircut 2 hours before i went to the airport so my hair looked awesome and i didnt wanna fuck it up). the english shower was frighteningly tiny and the bathroom (as did they all in europe) had no fan making it very muggy. we hustled down to another icky english breakfast and then packed up because we were moving on. we got on a lovely bus, with a driver named luc who we stayed with through the rest of the trip, whos bus was shamrock green everywhere inside. we drive out to stonehenge, and took a few walks around it. ive seen it, but i still love it and wish theyd let us touch it. after that we took a drive over to salisbury where we had lunch, and in our little cliques case, shopped. i got a new charm for my necklace. then we walked around and megan and i stood around and smoked cigarettes and bought apples and strawberries instead of lunch. then certain people (KATINKA) got lost and we had to wait FOREVER for them to come back. so we get back on the bus and drive out to the shore where we meet up with our ferry to cross the channel. security randomly picked out people to check out bags, megan being one of them and mike being another. then we got onto the boat. OH THE MONT ST. MICHEL! it was the most beautiful boat, a 6 hour luxury ferry ride that was like a cruise ship. we shopped and hung out, ate snacks, hung out on the deck and relaxed. alot of the tension that we had in london was disappearing. sam s, chuck, and i wanted to find the front. so we go into the private lounge facing the front of the boat, and find a stairwell to an outside door. we ran away and sam checked with security and we got the a ok to go out. chuck opened the huge water lock door for us and we headed out to the top. it was windy and i thought i would blow away. so sam climbs up on the railing and is just hanging out in the wind. and chuck and i are like WHOA! so we run and get mike and jeremy and kim and show them, and i try it. i stood on the railing with sam and kim and it was amazing. then we had to go in for dinner. dinner was SPECTACULAR. it was the best food we had in europe, mostly because they gave us a voucher and we ate what we wanted. it was awesome. the tarte i had was super yum. then we drag everyone out onto the dark, cold front of the boat and sam stands on the railing, but i wouldnt do it in the dark. and i almost blew away because the wind got worse and worse. we went inside and i bought a trashy english magazine with a free tank top and megan and i went to smoke a cigarette on the deck where we were trying to hide from hinsch because we were breaking some kind of honor code shit. then we went in and sat on the couch with lynn, kim, megan, sam, and jen and i read the magazine aloud in a trashy british accent about the scandalous stories. then we got bored and went to the arcade where i FAILED at DDR. the boat ride was nearly over so we went to our lounge and the boat landed in caen, and my french immediately improved. we danced off the boat screaming "nous sommes ici!" and got back on the bus to the cute little hotel where kim and i had our own, HUGE hotel room. we fell asleep almost immediately while other people tried to call home.
Day 5 we wake up to a lovely raining easter sunday. we head down to the lobby after dressing up for the holiday to a GREAT breakfast, as are to be expected in france. we ate and then had some more time to get ready before we had to be in the common room for sunday services, where we recited the lords prayer in french which i remembered the WHOLE thing (i can barely do it in english). then onto our shamrock green bus with our crazy belgian driver and off to the beaches at normandy. through the trip, our little group of friends sat in the back, making jokes, sleeping, talking. we had a great time on the bus for the most part of the trip. we arrived at the cliffs, the mist made it look very creepy, and we went to the small museum and saw a video that showed a small town, before, during, and after the war (WW2). the movie was projected on all screens of a round theatre, making us not only sad but super duper dizzy. afterwards, i was somewhat speechless and needed a little alone time, so we walked along the cliffs, and went by myself. it was really quite suiting weather, all the mist and rain. we got back on the bus and drove off for the cemetary at omaha beach where 4,000 us soldiers were buried. i was silent for the most part as was most of our entire tour group. there were crosses and stars of david everywhere you looked. it was a nice spot, and there were beautiful memorials on the cliffs and it was raining which was obviously fitting. i saw a man crying after putting flowers on a grave, it was so sad beacause if you think about it most of the soldiers buried couldnt ahve been too much older than me if not my age. i couldnt stand it anymore so i lead our group very quickly back to the start and got back on the bus. on the bus, some girls were being really loud and talking about something stupid and laughing like hyenas, and our little group was appalled, i say "you just saw 4,000 graves. doesnt that do anything to you? are you that heartless you hypocrites?" anyway, we make our way to a small beautiful little town called bayeux that was shown throughout the video we had seen. bruno told us they still werent completely done re-building since the war, but their beutiful cathedral was stil standing. jen kim, sam s, kim, megan, lynn, me, and mike went to a small quiet litte french restaurant to eat because it was easter and we wanted to sit down for lunch. there were lots of luhi kids in the restuarant, and the french families kept staring at the other tables for being loud, but not ours. we spoke in frnech to the waiter, and he complemented us on our french skills (they arent cheap with their compliments either) and we used our french table manners (knife in left hand, fork in right and not "shovelling" the food into our mouths). i had some seriously amazing chocolate mousse and frites (fries, which though called french fries are actually belgian). the waiter was very slow, so we had to choke down our food quickly and he forgot to bring jen kims food completely. so finally, we were late to meet up with everyone in front of the cathedral but alot of other people are late too. so we take some pictures of the quaintest town ever and head out to Mont Saint Michel. the ride was very long, but we all slept and theo was being obnoxious with her annoying cd player up all the way so i could hear it through my own. sam asked her nicely to turn it down but she refused then we asked again and she got pissed. out of spite, yacine turned hers all the way up so now there were 2 cd players cutting through the nice quiet bus with their horrible music that sounded like cats being skinned. FINALLY we get to the most beautiful place, its an island 2 times a day when the tide is high but then its also a huge rock with a town built into it and a medieval castle/cathedral built into its rock. surrounding it is quicksand, and then further out is the ocean. disapointingly they only gave us about 2 hours here when i could have spent a week or two. jen kim and i attatched ourselves because in the tight small streets we lost the group. finally we reached the steep steps leading up into the church and when the whole group made it we went inside. it was cold and damp and eveyrthing you expect from a medieval castle. there were pavillions from which you could see the entire area, and stairs, and windows carved into the rock. finally we reached the cathedral and walked all around it then to the beautiful gardens and megan, lynn, and i got split off from the rest of our friends, and though we walked quickly through the castle we only had a short time to see the town and make the bus. the whole place was a huge stone maze, and i couldnt figure out how they built this place nearly 1000 years ago. finally, we reached the exit which amazingly enough was right next to the entrance, and made our way into the village. i got some beautiful postcards for my mom and i, including a vintage french one showing mont st michel. then we bought some candy and got back on the bus because we still had 3 more hours until we arrived in Tours. finally we did make it to tours, which was a beautiful and old city we arrived at after dark which was quite late becasue we had entered their daylight savings time. we didnt even stop at the hotel and went straight to dinner becasue we were late. it was a lovely french place, that served us quiche and all kinds of pork products (which i didnt eat) and bread (which i did). then desert was white chocolate pudding in a white sauce which we saw every night for the rest of the time in france but could never figure out what it was. this dinner sucked because our group couldnt sit together so i sat with lynn and megan and some other kids. one of the guys who worked there looked EXACTLY like dan pope, and the waiters were kinda cute. funny enough, kristi and kristina invited them back to the hotel. when we arrived at the kyriad (our hotel) i was rooming with kim and lynn. sam was in another room after all i went through for us to be together. basically, something that had been coming boiled over. things were said. there was screaming. i left and sat in the lobby crying with mr and mrs hinsch back and forth and kim. outside, were our french waiters who couldnt get in because the doors were locked. finally i returned and we worked it out, making things better than ever for the rest of the trip.
Day 6 we woke up well rested and i showered. thank god there was a curtain, and it was lovely. then after getting dressed we went down to breakfast in the "salon" and it was DEELISH. i had bread and a croissant. we went back up, and finished and i had to bring my winter coat becasue it was freezing. it was our somewhat relaxing day, and we toured chateau. first we went to chambord, which is the largest in france. it looked like the castle from beauty and the beast. when we got inside it was incredible and again it was lynn, megan, and me walking around. there were staircases, and art, and crazy things and really felt like the beauty and the beast castle. as we walked in i said "lets go, it took belle months to figure this place out". there was some grafitti which was sad, but the place was still gorgeous and a smaller home for the kings of france. then the three of us headed into the small village where i bought a ridiculously expensive camera, and megan and i got tee shirts. then we got huge, 2 foot long baguettes which we munched on all day. back in the bus, luc was having a fit because we were eating on his bus which he called his "wife" and we had to respect her. this became a running joke for the rest of the trip. jeremy said "so how do you feel about 50 other people riding your wife?". then we went to yet another sweet little town in france with a huge castle and a market place outside of it. lynn, megan and i didnt feel like sitting so we bought candy and orangina and french cigarettes and sat down next to the loire river on this slab of concrete. we joked around about puking from all the candy into the loire or peeing in it, then realized that its france and they pee EVERYWHERE. when we met back up with the group we got on the bus and off we went for chenonceau which was incredible. its a chateau built for the mistresses of the king or the queen, and it crosses over a river. theres this gallery, with the most beautiful floor and windows and structure. the whole place was beautiful and cozy and incredible. it rained while we were inside, but stopped and we took a walk through the maze and i took pictures of kim, sam, lynn, megan, and i. we even walked a little ways into the town over the train tracks, and we talked about how it looked almost fake because it was so perfectly what we imagined. then more bussing back into tours and then at the hotel they gave us an hour to hang out in the town or hang out in the rooms. kim showered, lynn and i napped. when we woke up i changed my sweater and we went to dinner across the street at a place i re-named "cow licking its chops". i got the vegetarian meal which was rice and baked potato (long lakers-baked potato is NOT a meal) but actually very tasty. across from me some people (KATINKA) were brushing their hair at their table and chewing and talking with their mouths full and i was thankful sam s with her impecable manners was at my table across from me. after dinner and our eclairs which i smushed and they splooged, we took a long walk as a whole group to a little square and got ice cream (pistachio), and wealked around. some people got liquor but i decided against it and then we walked and walked. finally back at the hotel we hung out and smoked cigarettes out on the balcony, then we passed out from all our walking.
Day 7 the next morning, groggy and exhausted we woke up and had breakfast quickly because we were off to paris. we took our bus to chartres, and there we saw the most beautiful cathedral with two completely different spires, and the stained glass with the blue of chartres, and the masonic stonework of the utmost detail, heard the small service going on in the merovingian chapel, and saw the veil of mary. this church was an incredibly old, and dark, and beautiful gothic cathedral. after walking through it, kim and sam wanted to sit down for lunch. so lynn, megan, and i (inseperable if you couldnt already see)walked around the town. we went seraching for T. Le Clerc which is grossly expensive here, but in france its cheap but ended up being disinterested when we found a petit bateau store. i got a sweater (megan got one too) which is damn hot, and very french. then after more wandering we see a Monoprix (their supermarket), and go in. we look at the cheap lingerie, and the moomoos, and the makeup. then decide to buy lunch, i got sunnyD and strawberries, and they got 40's of orangina we also bought chocolate for our families. then in these tunnels they have, which is like a mall lynn got a pretty french shirt and megan got a perfume.then they stopped to get some bread for their lunch and we met back up with the group where people were very jealous of our stuff we got becasue it was the first day any of the shops were open after the easter holiday and they wanted to sit and eat lunch. then we head off for versailles which i kind of hate. i slept the whole way there, and we arrived, i didnt think it was all that great. we got an hour to hang around outside and see the gardens, but you couldnt get in without a passport or paying, sam s and i were the only ones with our passports becasue everyone else gave them to mrs hahn to hold so scratched that. then we wandered around and it rained and sucked. around this time i start to get hungry (this is relevant). so we go inside, and they let us wander around, but after awhile we all get very bored so the inseperable 3 escape outside and wander around and wait for the group. versailles annoyed alot of people becasue of its gross opulence and the fact that its kind of boring and we were sick of chateaux. now its pouring and we're waiting by the statue for late teachers, and we get back on the bus wet, cold, and tired. we drive all through paris, until we arrive in bibliotheque (the area in paris we stayed in) and entered the hotel. the room i was sharing with sam kim and lynn wasnt ready so we dropped our stuff off in megans room and went downstairs to wait for dinner. there, we waited for justin mcdougal for 45 minutes because he was feeling ill (i wil give you 1 guess as to the cause). so finally hes ready and we walk over to the metro and take two very pretty subways over to the area around st michael and have dinner in what appears to be an old slaughter house. chances of getting good vegetarian meal, not so hot. at dinner i sat with the usual group plus matt fili (the coolest male on the trip). and he gives us a partial telling of the night before, and why justin is sick. basically there was alot of booze the night before, and he was going to kill kevin scott and he was shitting and puking at the same time and doug kerzner had to shower him to sober him up (ps-doug is a good kid and wasnt shitfaced, neither was matt).so meanwhile kevin is telling everyone about being frightened, his nightmares about the chateaux and flying like a grenade in his sleep. matt didnt sleep and we felt bad for him. i had a delicious meal of boiled, mashed, and baked potatos with salad and chocolate cake. then we walked to the musee d'orsay which was obviously closed, and it was pouring rain. so we hung out by this modern art fountain that was really beautiful then finally headed back to the hotel. there were some good times had in the metro. once back, we got our room and went there where matt came and told us and mike and chuck the FULL story of the night before with every hilarious detail, he even did voices. people chain smoked out our window and when mrs hinsch came for bedcheck she was like "was somoene smoking?" my answer was "its france". then we stayed up very late talking and laughing but NOT having nightmares about the chateaux.
Day 8 waking up freezing cold in paris was lovely becasue we forgot to shut the window. i got up very quickly and took my shower, trying very carefully to keep water from spraying everywhere because in france they rarely have shower curtains. afterwards i woke everyone else up with some "federal trade commission", and we all got ready. breakfast was very cute downstairs and the croissants were amazing. we got on a new bus and tour lady named veronique, as luc had gone home with his "wife", and we had a bus tour of paris, hitting all the sites. the champs elysee was gorgeous, with its massive louis vuitton/marc jacobs trunk adorning the door, petit bateau, givenchy, gucci, etc. we then stopped at a pavillion to take photos of the eiffel tower from far away and i had to buy a digustingly expensive camera for 17euro. when we were walking along the pavillion the police were setting up for something that we found out was a speech being made by the mayor of paris and i even heard a rumor that the president of france was there. so we took our pictures, and i took one with a policeman, and picked a daisy which is now pressed in my passport. we got back on the bus for more sites in paris, and then to the louvre. we went in and had a good lunch in its huge cafeteria with food from everywhere in the world. then i exchanged travellers cheques and got a jane birkin cd with megan. then we wandered around the pseudo-mall and met back up at la pyramide inversee and got a tour guide named vincent for our half of the group. we saw the mona lisa, and the st john the baptist paintings which have the same face, winged victory, the ancient foundation of the original louvre palace, and tons of other works. we saw alot, and vincent was a great tour guide, whos job i would like to steal. then we waited outside in the sun after picking up some maps, and had to wait for two stupid sophomores who got left in the bathrooms. wouldnt common sense have told them to get their asses to the exit? anyway, then we went shopping. we walked to the opera house and to the stores. kim and sam went off together, and jen, lynn, megan and i went to au printemps. it was beautiful and designer and great until we went to the fifth floor womens fashions. i tried on a few pairs of jeans and some tops, but it was all too pricey. megan got a beautiful bag, but while she was trying clothes on a woman who worked there came over to me and yelled at me for leaving things i had tried on and not putting them back. she threw the clothes at me and yelled at me "this not mine! NOT MINE! you put back!" so i had to fold jeans and hang shirts exactly where i found them. i may as well have been at work. i was very upset so i went over to the petit bateau section and the lady was so sweet i bought a navy v-neck top im in love with. finally i couldnt take it so we left and went to galarie lafayette. in the shoe dept i found the most amazing shoes and i wanted them, but my card was maxed out (i only brought 350 dollars to begin with and with conversions, i was kinda broke compared to other kids) and i couldnt get them (lynn and megan did casue they are lucky duckies). so im gonna order them online with my next paycheck ;). so i got REALLY upset, and it wasnt the shoes, it was the money. i should have been paying closer attention but i didnt because im terrible. so im crying and it begins to pour, so chuck stays in the back of the group with me and my silly pink umbrella and cheers me up. when we get to dinner, lynn and megan had saved us a table. this was a terrible restaurant because they took a half hour to give us bread even though the baskets were sitting on a table right near us. then, the vegetarian meal was two plates of shredded carrot, lettuce, and tomatos. it wasnt cool. dr hahn then made a speech for bruno thanking him and the chaperones, after which we took pictures of our confirmed straight with girlfriend and daughter (he showed us pictures). we walked around a bit more and then back onto the bus and headed out for our ride on the bateaux mouche on the seine river. on the boat we got on the top even though it was damp from all the rain and we smoked cigarettes and as we pulled off the dock the eiffel tower started to sparkle with all the blinking lights. we took pictures and made friends with some south african boys who we met when we needed a light. one was asking us about cheating on our boyfriends, and how american girls are better than south african girls because we dont use boys because we have boyfriends and dont just hook up, and how he doesnt like to drink. they cant drive until they are 18, and they are used to street fights between rebels and the government (the us sided with the rebels who are just trying to take over their city...we didnt even know which goes to show you we're ignorant and i cant wait to be a journalist). another boy was talking to megan and i about how he loved clothing and designers and how senior year was called metric. they were awesome and we took pictures. then we went for a drive and saw the arch du triomphe quickly from across the street and finally back to the hotel. we packed and hung out and went to sleep for our last night in europe to the sounds of sam packing at 2am.
Day 9 we had a 9am wake up call which was lovely considering it was spring break. we went to breakfast and then went ot our rooms to pack. finally, we got on the bus and headed to charles de gaul airport, still half asleep. we have a nice ride through the ghetto of paris. at the airport i blew some cash on french magazines and we walked around and then through security into the gate. while there, whitney (from llc) walks in and we talked for a few minutes, but we were both exhausted. so we got on our little place and back to london, heathrow. i dont remember take-off or landing because i was sleeping so well in my window seat, then we wandered around the london airport, cranky and tired and broke. most of all hungry. so we get some food and get on the british airways flight back to the US. megan and i sat together with conor(in 9th grade) and across from lynn and sam but kim had to move because matt lottes is a pansy and couldnt not sit with his friends. i watched closer and bridget jones diary 2. closer was good, bridget jones was funny but shes fugly. finally after hours and hours of boredom, we make our way through hot and sticky US customs and jumped into my moms car where i vented and looked forward to my own bed. friday night-charlies party. very awesome indeed, except at the end when there was a blackout which was actually kinda cool. i think me and emily got along, which is pretty awesome. happy birthday steve-o, who of course the party was for. mike came which was very cool cause he liked everyone and that made me very happy. and for those who arent atuned to my craziness, i think i fell on the floor laughing like 25 times.
saturday-woke up real early, after my nice 4 hours of sleep and packed. then we went to the airport. jfk is hot. i really like it cause its all pretty and theres always tons of construction. dont ask me why, i just love that airport. so then were waiting there FOREVVVEERRR. i mean literally, my grandpa dropped us off like 3 hours early. we took a plane to minneapolis, minnesota. the most boring place ive ever been. so were there for like 20 minutes, and we jump on our plane to pheonix, arizona. once were in pheonix, we go to my uncle jon and aunt tinas house. slappy (their pug) is going berserk.
sunday-were sitting around talking really early in the morning, cause im jet lagged, and my aunt says: hey lets go to mexico, nogales is realy close. so my mom and i are game. we jump in her cute little audi and off we go south a couple hundred miles. once in nogales (on the american side) we park the car, and walk across the border into mexico. once we were there, it was like a different world, only 10 feet away from us soil. so we shopped, and i ordered a margarita at lunch but it tasted like crap. so we walked around and for a few hours, and headed back to their house.i ♥ the sonoran desert
monday-began our crazy roadtrip. we drove north for a real long time, and it rained, and we got to the hoover dam, and nevada. it is huge, and really high up which made me uncomfortable. we drove alot more and VIVA LAS VEGAS! drove up and down the strip, and ended up at the paris hotel where we were staying with an incredible view of the dancing water at the bellagio. so we hung around and then had dinner at the buffet which was ridiculous, i ate like 6 courses and had 2 desserts, i easily could have exploded. we walked around a little and then hung around int he bellagio watching the dancing water. the real fun was at the mgm grand where we saw Ka cirque de soliel. it was AWESOME. so good, the set was incredible, but it was alot of baton twirling and very little aerial. with that, i promptly passed out when we got back to the hotel at 130 in the am.
tuesday-the second half of our extreme roadtrip. we drive and drive till we cross over the hoover dam again and just keep going till we get to that big hole in the ground the grand canyon. it was really crappy weather and cause of all the rain its all green, but we saw enough, and it was so beautiful. it wad mad high, and it made me dizzy. so after that we hit up flagstaff a few hours southeast of the grand canyon and had lunch. after which my mom and i checked out some cheezy western stores and headed back to pheonix.
wednesday-lots of time OUTSIDE the car. we hiked around in the white tank mountains and then took the dog for a spin around the lake near my uncles house. mostly i sat on my butt and relaxed. it was finally sunny out too. i watched alot of tv and relaxed cause i mean, it was vacation.
thursday- more driving to scotsdale. there we went to taliesin, west the frank lloyd wright house (he built the guggenheim) and took a tour. its actually still an art school, but its like a creepy commune art school. kinda reminded me of a hardcore long lake for grown ups. then we went shopping in the "roosevelt field" of arizona. apparently this place is considered the beverley hills of the south west. really it was a beautiful mall with amazing stores, but white trash girls were everywhere and it was kinda skeevy.
friday-we left pheonix :( and headed home. we made a stop in detroit, michigan and then back to jfk, and finally to my silly pink house.
PICTURES WILL BE UP SOON

i kinda wish i updated more often. things have been really scary lately. but im back in therapy again and i feel alot better. i want to go out of the house more, and i dont cry as much.
if anyone wants to do something in the city rather soon, i have a great job and lots of money to journey into the city of new york to see fabulous people who choose to take me up on the offer. call me. im me. leave me a note. and we can pencil something in.

just a fast update for you kids.
1) Ithaca College-sucks balls hardcore. its frigid and windy and small. it smells funky and looks EXACTLY like my high school. i shit thee not. but, i will sayt he programs for journalism are great...but if i went there id never get out of bed or be one of those kids that jump off the bridge near cornell.
2)Binghamton University-bigger than ithaca, still kinda small. weather is a LITTLE bit nicer. its cheaper (suny), and the programs arent bad. except lacking with the journalism. it smells like camp, which makes me all nostalgic and sad. BUT the binghamton crosbies (s/p?) are from there which give it LOTSA cool points, and they have awesome circuses come through all the time. so as of now, its actually a choice.
3)Penn State- um, great school and booty calls. this is obviously my first choice.
ps-johannas pictures kick ass. love.
pps-i have been thirsty for like 3 days

i finally feel 17. i passed my road test today, and spent a good 9 hours in my car with various people (lindsay, mike, cuban, random stoner kid, etc...). i really only took a break to watch nightmare before christmas and eat something with rob which was super uber fun cause i love that movie. and him.
basically, im free. FREE I TELL YA! i can drive, and soon ill be making 12 dollars and hour.
my birthday rocked and rolled. hung out at school and had all free sets due to various heinous teachers being absent and not having math. my buddies are the greatest and thank you guys for recognizing my 17-ness. (thats all of you kiddos). so um...im gonna go take raphael out for a spin. toodles.
